Jessica

Jessica began dancing at Divine Movement in January of 2009 after deciding she needed a new workout. With an educational background in strength conditioning and personal training, she was interested in exploring different and new exercise trends. While a student at Divine Movement, she discovered creative movement was a way to reconnect with the acceptance and confidence previously lost as life has many twists and turns. She celebrates being a woman and embraces everything she has to offer by teaching other women how truly beautiful and sexy they are no matter how they may appear.

Annie

Principal Instructor

Annie is a transplant to the Seattle area, from Michigan via Los Angeles. She began pole dancing in Los Angeles in 2004, and became a teacher shortly after. Krissy

Principal Instructor

Krissy was introduced to pole dancing after a friend attended a few classes at Divine Movement and told her what a fun workout pole was. She started with Boudoir 101 in March of 2011 and was hooked after her first class. Divine Movement allowed Krissy to really breathe and rediscover her true self through movement and music. Krissy has a dance background from high school and college, but didn’t return to it for almost a decade until she discovered her love for pole dancing. She is excited to share her passion of movement and hopes that other women are able to feel the empowering confidence pole dancing brings.

Rebekah

Principal Instructor

Rebekah discovered pole dancing at a bachelorette party in March of 2011. She was immediately hooked by the exhilarating feeling of twirling around the pole. As soon as she got home, she signed up for a Pole 101 series at Divine and has never looked back! As a stay at home mom by day, dancing brings a perfect balance to her life. She has had the privilege of teaching at Divine since 2012, and loves teaching a wide range of classes - from spins and inversions to boudoir, floorwork, and heels! Her mission is to provide the same supportive oasis in every class that she found on that first day of Pole 101, so that every student leaves class feeling encouraged and unconditionally accepted, wherever they are in their dance journey.

Jessica

Instructor

Jessica started dancing at Divine in 2010. Since the age of 3, dance has always been a big part of her life. She started out in ballet and tap, grew into jazz and modern dance, and eventually learned how to two-step, salsa, east and west coast swing, waltz, lindy-hop and shuffle. However, without a doubt, pole dancing is her favorite. She lives in Seattle with her beloved German Shepard Poodle mix named Sneaker.

Natalie

Come be a part of the magic!”

Jessica

Instructor

Jessica has been dancing traditionally since high school but caught the pole bug in 2012. So much so, that she’s competed in competitive pole events in LA and Seattle numerous times since then. At Divine she found an incredibly uplifting community as a student and instructor that has empowered her to love 'me for myself'.

Amanda

Instructor

Amanda started dancing at Divine Movement in 2013 to find a new way to move after her years in Latin Ballroom as a dancer and choreographer, but minutes into her first class she realized it would be SO much more. Amanda immediately fell in love with the supportive female community, freedom and meditative element of movement when following her breath and body, and both the inner and outer strength she found through Divine. As an instructor, she hopes to empower, inspire, and give permission to explore to any woman in her class through movement, fun, breathing, and growth of confidence. “As women we so often put others first, wear five responsibility hats at a time, and hide our curves to keep up with an idea of what a lady should be. In classes at Divine I feel so honored to guide women in taking care of themselves, stripping off those hats even just for a few hours a week, and owning their gorgeous bodies with confidence and pizzazz!”

Hannah

Instructor

Hannah began dancing at Divine Movement in February 2016. She has a close friend just beginning as an instructor and she needed students for her class. Hannah thought she was the one helping out her friend that needed to fill a room, but didn’t realize how meaningful the experience would be and fully fell in love with the dance, the community, and the Divine life. Each new class has provided a unique way to connect with herself and others and she hopes to spread that joy to others.

Missy

Instructor

Missy found Divine Movement in 2014. What she thought would be just an interesting 6 week experience, has become her passion. She has explored some of the technical parts of pole dancing, which she loves, and really found her home with Boudoir Dance. Boudoir Dance fits Missy beautifully, almost like a second skin. For Missy, being a dance instructor and sharing the beauty, and the marriage of Boudoir Dance & Pole Dance is a dream come true.

Emily

Instructor

Emily is a Washington native who began her dance journey at Divine in 2016. She fell in love with the studio, which allows women to freely explore their bodies and emotional depths. Dance has allowed her to express herself in ways she never thought possible. She strives to create a nurturing and freeing space for her students to delve into their own journey and discover new parts of themselves.

Jean

Instructor

Jean came to Divine non-athletic, non-body aware, and without a dance background. But hair toss by hair toss, she learned how to feel within her own body, and dance became her forever drug of choice. Her desire to cross train for the technical side of pole led her on an anatomical trek into yoga & barre teacher training, and her true passion for teaching revealed itself. Pole has become her way she finds her own sense of home again, a connection to her body, and an incredible space of self-love and connected sensuality.

She stepped one foot into the studio and has been hooked ever since. She grew up an athlete but always felt a calling to dance and movement which she has felt free and encouraged to explore at Divine, falling deeply in love with the Boudoir style of dance. Dance has become her main outlet of creativity over the years, pushing aside writing and crafting but she has no complaints. She’s found a home at Diving and is extremely grateful to be part of such a wonderful and loving community.

Olivia

Instructor

Olivia started her Divine journey in 2016, and has been dancing since she was sixteen in all styles of dance. Having been a thespian in her hometown she made a journey to Seattle where she lost dance. She came back wanting to try something new having bounced back from a past life she not only found dance again but found Divine Movement. Never did she think she would find a place where she could blend both of her passions. Dance and Sensuality. Having moved to Seattle and never really feeling like she fit in, it’s nice to find a place she can call home. Now she’s in the Boudoir and Pole world and you can probably catch her slithering across the floor and hair tossing her way across the room.

Shelly

Instructor

Shelly was born and raised in Michigan where she went to school for Theater and Psychology. Always looking for ways to grow and learn she moved to San Francisco and eventually Seattle where she discovered Divine. Once the movement and culture washed over her she never looked back. She found things at Divine that satisfied each part of her personality; being able to perform, becoming stronger, mentally and physically, and making friendships with the coolest people on the planet!

Hannah

Instructor

It all started when her maid-of-honor organized a surprise pole party for her Bachelorette. They both had so much fun that they signed up right away for pole 101. Divine has helped her to break out of her shell and feel comfortable with herself and it has pushed her both mentally and physically. If you had told her 3 years ago that not only would she be pole dancing, but that she would have competed 3 times, performed on stage 8 times and won 2 medals she would have said you were crazy! She feels incredibly lucky to have been supported by so many of our amazing instructors on this journey and is honoured and excited to be able to share her experience with others.
